Information About Registering for an ECPAC Session

About Sessions

ECPAC ‘sessions’ are monthly lunchtime presentations about tax and other matters important to CPAs working in public practice in Calgary and area. Their length is about 1 hour, starting at noon, on the third Wednesday of most months. (Exceptions: in December we start earlier to host the Annual General Meeting and holiday season luncheon; we skip the busy month of April and the summer months of July & August.)

The ECPAC offers two kinds of session registration types: in-person and online. In-person sessions are at a hotel with a catered meal included. Online sessions using Zoom began during the Covid-19 pandemic; they will likely be phased out. When registering you must choose between the two.

Registering for a Session

ECPAC members register themselves and pay online. Lunch will be ordered only for paid in-person registrations.

Non-members may register themselves for only online sessions (see below).

Session Attendance by Non-Member Guests

Members can bring non-member guests to luncheons. Guests of a member should be registered by the member when registering her or himself.

Members who have already registered for a session and later want to add a guest must contact the administrator. (A limitation of the website software.) After the guest(s) are registered an updated invoice will be sent to the member.

If you are a non-member Alberta CPA and want to attend an in-person session, and do not know an ECPAC member, please contact the ECPAC Administrator to be registered as a guest of the President.

As mentioned above, we offer online self-registration by non-members for only online sessions.

NOTE: Non-members may attend a maximum of two sessions (in-person and/or online) to ‘check us out.’ After that we ask them to decide or not to join the ECPAC.

Session Payment

The ECPAC accepts only online payments for membership fees and session registration fees. Thus we do not accept cheques or cash. If you cannot make a payment online, please contact the administrator for assistance.

Refunds are not provided unless the ECPAC cancels a session, or another reason at its discretion.
